Amathole Forestry Company (AFC)

AFC is currently certified as a Level 3 BBBEE contributor with ambitions of progressively improving its BBBEE status throughout the implementation of formal strategic planning that encompasses authentic empowerment solutions.  In 2005 the Amathole Workers Trust was established as an Employee share ownership scheme to promote the empowerment and betterment of black employees.  The Amathole Workers Trust currently holds a 10% share in the company with potential to increase its shareholding.
