Rance Timber provides all of the company’s employees with transportation to work. This is done at no cost to the employees and saves them in transport or alternate accommodation costs. From a social perspective, the fact that majority of employees are able to return home every day, provides stability in the family households.
Many employees reside in the former Ciskei rural areas near Keiskammahoek and other rural communities around Stutterheim. Our transport allows employees from these rural communities to get to work daily and then return to their traditional homes in the rural areas. The cost savings of this on the rural households and the socio-economic benefits of being at home every day, provides better quality of life to the people from those regions.
